I have no plain 2 row at the house right now, what I do have is 18lb of Weyermann Munich Malt.

I also have a number of Crystal and specialty malts. The problem is all I have are American Hops, and I need to use them up. I have Chinook, Simcoe, Centennial hops.

Here is what I was thinking for an American Amberish.

10.5lb Munich Malt

Hops
.5 oz Chinook at 60 min
1oz Simco at 10 min
.5 Chinook at Flame out
.5 Simcoe at Flame out

WLP013 London Ale (its what i have)

Should I add some crystal or will the Munich alone be enough sweetness?
Should I add some roasted barley for color?
Should I not try this at all?

Thanks

If you're really wanting an American Amber, crystal malts are pretty much obligatory. Straight Munich is pretty darn good on its own though.

No it doesn't have to be an American Amber. Maybe I will just do the Munich malt. What about the Hops pairing and times?
