I've been searching the web for a recipe to clone this beer and haven't had any luck. I was wondering is anyone had a recipe for this beer or could point me in the right direction.

Thanks.

I would recommend emailing founders - their head brewer Jeremy Kosmicki is extremely helpful and shares his recipes quite often. That's one of the reasons Founder's is my favorite brewery - that and all their beer is really stellar!

Does anyone have the brewers email I would love to ask a few questions?

Here are his original tips to me:
Hey Ben , thanks for enjoying our Pale Ale! Try using around 10% Carapils, 5% Munich, and 5% Crystal malt, somewhere in the 40-50 lovibond range ( I use a Cara-munich 45). Target a 12 Plato OG. Hop it with Cascades, targeting 30 IBUs and dryhop it with a blend of Cascades and Crystals. Ferment it with some American yeast and you should be good to go. Good luck, hope this helps!

Could anyone help me translate those tips from Jeremy into a workable recipe? I've brewed with a Kit several times, and I'd like to try this Pale ale as my first all-grain.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Not sure if this thread is completely dead, but based on what Jeremy shared and the stats from the bottle I'm sipping now (5.4% ABV and 35 IBUs), I think this should get you pretty close:

5 Gallon Batch figured at 72% efficiency:

Mash at ~150F:

8 lbs 8.0 oz Pale Malt (2 Row)
12.8 oz Cara-Pils/Dextrine
6.4 oz Caramunich I (Weyermann) (51.0 SRM)
6.4 oz Munich (Cargill)

1.00 oz Cascade [5.50 %] - Boil 60.0 min
1.00 oz Cascade [5.50 %] - Boil 30.0 min

1.0 pkg American Ale (Wyeast Labs #1056) (a starter might be a good idea)

1.00 oz Cascade [5.50 %] - Dry Hop 10.0 Days
1.00 oz Crystal [3.50 %] - Dry Hop 10.0 Days

By my calculations this should finish at 5.5% and 32.8 IBUs. The malt ratios are all according to Jeremy's specifications. If anyone brews this let me know how it comes out, please!

Howdy... anyone know how this turned out? I'm thinking about trying a clone for this beer as well.
