So I have a small predicament on my hands here. I have a brew in primary that I had in a water bath and wrapped in a wet towel to keep the temps down. For the first few days I had a fan blowing on it to keep the air circulating. I had to go out of town for a few days and I didn't want the fan running while I was away so I turned it off. Now that I'm home, I've discovered a small amount of mold growing on the outside of the bucket near the lid. I'm sure the beer in the bucket is fine, but I don't want any mold spores contaminating it when I transfer it out. Any suggestions on how I should proceed? I washed the outside as well as I could with star san but I just don't feel too confident that was enough to kill the problem. Thoughts, anyone?
