I have some leftover ingredients, and want to work on a partial mash (practice makes perfect?), so I kind of just threw this together. Don't really know what style I would call it, but I guess that's half the fun. This recipe is calculated for a 2.0 gal batch, partial mash.

1.0 lbs. Light DME
1.0 lbs. Wheat DME

I have read about difficulties with partial mash and small quantities of ingredients such as this. I am planning to mash in 2 qts and adding to my boil pot for a starting volume of 2.5 gals. Would it be better to mach in 1.0 gal and add it to 1.5 gals in the boil pot?

criticism welcome !

if it was me, i would mash my grains in the two quarts water in one pot and then sparge in my main brewpot with whatever volume you need to get to 2.5 gallons
