I brewed terrapin's rye pale ale and it turned out quite good; however i detect almost a lemony taste (not sour at all) or maybe more citrusy taste in the beer that i dont believe is in the original. Could it only be the hops??
I also tasted this with the centennial blonde that i brewed (which was my first all grain batch). The Rye Pale Ale is just over 4 weeks old (brewed on July 17th) I normally dont touch them for 6 weeks, but scared myself when reading about hops aroma fading in pale ales and ipas. Speaking of which how quickly does that fade?
it was fermented at 66 degrees in a fridge with a temp controller on it in a fridge.
