Hey all, I got almost everything ready to brew my first partial mash recipe for tomorrow. However, my local brew store does not have any large mesh bags. i was wondering if anyone knows any generic stores (walmart, grocery store, etc) which carries large bags (im thinking 24 x 24 or something similar) i have a generic size steeping bag but i feel i need something bigger.

any ideas? i live in southern california.

also, what is the real differnece between using the steeping bag at conversion temps for the alloted time than using a larger back for the mini mash?

im assuming it has to do with more water getting to the grains if its spread out. any suggestions?

thanks!

edit: btw im using only 2.5 lbs grains for the mash + 30z of pureed pumpkin

Home Depot

5 gallon nylon mesh paint strainer bags

They come in sets of two. Pick up two packs. You can use them for your grain and your hops over and over again. They're reuseable.
