Crystal and caramel malts are the same thing. They taste different based on who makes them.

Yes, crystal and caramel are different names for the same thing.
Depending on the maltster, you'll also see "cara" for those types of malts, like carastan, carared.

a recipe said crystal 80 and I couldn't find that at the stores I go to... thanks guys!!!
