Is there a finer stout on the market? While I like stouts, I've never put them on par with a good pale ale or IPA until I tried the Shakespear the other night.

It is now absolutely one of my favorite beers overall.

Yes there are better stouts. Not to put down Rogue's, which, while good i am not overly impressed.

Samuel Smith's Oatmeal Stout is better, IMO
Lion Stout is also better, IMO

don't get me wrong though i'd still rank it at about a 97/100...

Have you had their Mocha Porter yet, if you like the Shakespeare you'll love it.

A few months ago I ran out to get a bottle of Shakespeare Stout and drank it the following evening. I didn't like it very much. I do plan on giving it a second chance one day though.

Still to be honest, I think i'm finding that most rougue beers arent really blowing me away like people tell me they will.

I had the shakespeare stout recently and I truly enjoyed it. I wish they would distribute it in six packs like the mocha porter or dead guy. I think its one of their better beers.
