I just finished my keggle. I went a little different route than welded in couplings. I brazed in Stainless Steel 304 Welding Spuds.

I like the idea! How's it connect on the inside? Is there enough threads? Welding spuds... hmmm never heard of them before! How much did they cost?
I could see perhaps soldering or welding a mating spud onto the other side of the drain bulkhead to add a diptube but there is a little narrow lip that is inserted into a slightly oversized hole that would have to be grinded off to mate two back to back in such a thin wall.

I ordered from amazon @ $6.16 each with free shipping. I brazed my dip tube into the threaded nipple.
