calculating extract volume for a full boil

i'm attempting jamil's wittebrew recipe with a full boil. how do i calculate how much volume the 7lbs of extract take up of the total 7 gallons?
 
Well - if it were my problem, I would calculate by measuring. I would add the LME to 6 gal of water, then top it up to 7. Then next time I would know. Do you need to be more accurate than that?

Or, guesstimate the volume of the LME and go from there.
 
I found another thread that mentioned 1 quart for every 4 lbs of LME, which seems about right if I were to guess the volume...
