Hoping my first recipe isn't too malty. Goin for a Sierra Nevada pale ale type.

That is a horrifying column of text. It is hard to figure stuff out...

I get that it is Cecilius and could really not care about that... But how much, in pounds or KG/G are you useing of each ingredient? To me it looks like you are planning to use 10lbs of honey malt and that would be WAY TO MUCH. But I just don't know that recipe is a "hot mess" Head over to the Recipe secion and take a look at how most recipes are posted. Then copy pate one into something and fill in your info with weights.

I also do not believe any brew with a OG of 1.04X is going to be "to malty" for a pale ale style brew, even extract. It seems light IMO. A good way to figure out a way to make a balanced hoppy beer is to do a 1:1 ratio of last 2 gravity points to planned IBUs like 1.055 OG to 55 IBUs.
