OK, I just did this with 1 oz of cascade hops, boiled for 30 min in a half gallon of water, priming sugar in for the last 5. AH-mazing. totally saved a 5 gallon batch of cascade english pale ale.

Is this Ranger as in New Belgium? One of the few beers I really enjoy from them.

I love the evap cooler method, I work from home a lot so I don't need a bin filled with water. I just put the fermenter on top of a towel, put a t shirt over it, and mist it down every now and then....

that seems like a lot of extract for the yeast to handle straight from the pack. I haven't used Nottingham before but I rehydrated us-05 on a big IPA yesterday and had activity in less than 2 hours....

Yea I Figured I would go with 2.5 cups and I think a 30 min boil now, with 1 or 2 oz of cascade. sugar in for the last 5.

30 min should help punch up the flavor/bitterness. I was looking here......
