LHBS doesn't carry drilled stopper for 2L erlenmeyer

And I need to make a starter for a brew this weekend. Suggestions? Should I just use aluminum foil over the top? Seems a bit iffy to me.

Any reason not to pick up this stock pot?

Didn't hit intended OG with extract kit

I recently tried the American IPA #1 kit from Austin Homebrew Supply. I did everything as the instructions detailed other than adding approximately 4 oz. of corn sugar just for the hell of it....
