How cold is too cold???

The weather suddenly turned real cold here in Walla walla and I have 3 cases of 22 oz bottles carbing in the basement. Been 7 days now and no carb yet... I guess it went als low as 40 degrees down...

This turned out to be my best beer yet. Next...

This turned out to be my best beer yet. Next time I will make it a 6 gallon batch... Very good taste, extremely thick and rich. Tasted great after 7 days in 220z bottles ... better after 14.

Thanks, This is a 4 % lighter beer and wont need to be too sweet. Dissolving it in water seems a good idea.

I have a 5 gallon batch ready to bottle and it tastes great but I'd like to have it just a little sweeter. Should/can I use Lactose and any ideas how much to use? Can I stir it into my bottling...

My Frankenbeer had at least a half gallon of trub on the bottom... It tasted so good that I gently strained & bottled it into 22oz bottles and added 1 instead of 2 sugar balls. I only got 7, 22 oz...

I left grains in too long too... on purpose.... but you seem to have done the right thing by steeping and removing them before the boil.... I dont get the problem
