Yeah I would like to know which is better also . I wonder if cutting off the recirc before mash ends and getting a head start on hlt mash out temp would be the key?

Well you want to make sure it has fermented out...

Well you want to make sure it has fermented out completely, then you can put in fridge to put yeast back into dormancy. Brew day bring them up to fermentation temp to ease stress before pitching...

I infused o2 into my starter, pitched and put it on the stirplate and let er run. Next day I had krausen overflow. I thought we were not supposed to see krausen when stirring with a stir bar.

X2 starters will help make sure you get a good ferment + it makes you look like dr beer walking around with erylnmeyer flasks. Look up homemade stirlplate, to push your starters to new levels.
