Stay away from the white part of the oranges it will give a sour/bitter taste that can take over your beer. I learned this the hard way, the beer was not undrinkable but pretty close.

I have used both for a Wit beer with the same grain mix. You really will not see much of difference, I know there will be people that will say I am wrong but I could not tell much of a difference.

Soak them with a stronger bleach mix. Then rinse them EXTREMELY well. You do not want any bleach lingering around. I usually rinse about 3-4 times to get it all out.

It should be fine because it should be filled with CO2 from fermenting so you don't have to worry about Oxygen. But I am sure there is smarter people out there then me that know a reason not to.
