You can use PVC glue with potable water without issue so wort @ approx 170 shouldn't be too terrible if using the right glue.

I didn't want to jack around putting it together everyone I brew.

I tried an Oxyclean soak, didn't seem to do much. Was thinking maybe CLR?

Right and understood that's the beauty of dry yeasts...

But in making a starter I always rehydrate dry and do the same when pitching it. I prep it in 70 or 75 water, usually a cup or so a few hrs...

I've washed and reused dry used via starters a few dozen times without much ill effects?

I had the same issue with fermentation with 1335, stopped at 1.024.

Beer tastes great still, tad sweet but not cloying.

Ive got a spare argon regulator laying around...

I don't see why i can't swap the tank connector and use for co2

Any reason why not? It's rated higher than co2 tanks pressure wise and still...
