I brewed outside last week for the first time on a propane burner, its the way to go!
But I was wondering could one 'skunk' the beer if boiling in sun light? I kept in the shade.

Keg pressure question

Beginner kegger, I have my beer in a corny for 5 days at 10PSI @ 35-40 degrees in my cellar hatchway. On day 5 I sampled a beer, nice had a good foamy head.

Then I put the pressure down to 5PSI...

It seems that was the gas in pop-it gasket. I guess a true dry test should be done with the CO2 left attached as the leak only occurred when the quick connect was attached.

I picked up some used corny kegs and and friend of mine gave me a CO2 tank along with gauges. Now I don't know how old the CO2 is, it can be between 1 - 15 years old.

I added lemon zest to a wheat beer last year....

I added lemon zest to a wheat beer last year. Simply zested one lemon, microwaved for a min. to kill any germs, and added to my secondary.

Worked well.
