You may already done this, but take a grinding wheel and then a flap wheel to the cut. It'll clean up the edges and prevent you from cutting your arm and fingers when using it.

Sorry, I was not saying that the dial or the digital was better. Just that measuring temperatures at mulitple points on my system has helped my brewing.

The small amount of beer in that tiny beer line really is not that big of a deal. You may get some foam on the first pour, but I don't do anything special to correct it.....except have another pint!
