I agree with Revvy, you will find a lot of info in a search. I do however leave almost every beer I make in the primary for 3 weeks. Many of them for longer, and just skip a secondary. GL :mug:

I bought the oaked porter from AHB and it says nothing about sanitizing the oak cubes. I have not opened the original bag yet, so would it really be a bad idea to just add them directly to the brew?

i know people have done this without causing any off flavors. Just make sure you do it at the end of the process. For instance, put a small drop into each bottle.
