Another question morkin, my wort took off with the lacto starter and looks nice, but at what temp did you ferment the us-05 at? I was thinking in the low 70s to keep the lacto chugging away.

Its an old glass water serving jug I "borrowed" from a wedding party last year. It works pretty well, and no exposed threads so very easy to sanatize as well. Score!

Ive found that the brewzor beta app for android is very good, its still in beta so there are some bugs and its not the prettiest app ever but it works well enough and can import/export beerxml.

yeah I went out and bought a new better bottle for sours exclusivley. Gonna get a new siphon, I think ill keep using my bottling bucket as it is glass. Thanks for the replys.

At what temp should you keep the lacto starter after pitching the grains and water, im having a hard time keeping the temps up. Best I can muster is about 70.

I fill my bottling bucket with the 5 gallons of star san i reuse for months at a time. Fill every bottle i have to the brim with star san and then put it back in the bottling bucket. Works well...

I cannot wait to get mine! I've been using frozen gallon jugs for cooling down a 5 gallon batch (sanitized of course) and its still not efficient enough. Cooling wort is the bane of my existence!
