Coleman Extreme5 mash tun

Afternoon all,

The Coleman Extreme 5 50 qt cooler looks like it would make a great mash tun, but the drain is at an angle.

Has anyone used this cooler before, and how did you address teh angled...

Great thread, I just bought my first 50 lb bag of grain...thanks to a "new" local home brew shop!

If 1- 20 gal bag holds a 55 lb sack, 2 gal zip lock bags should be ideal for 10 lbs of grain.

Putting some silicone tubing on the outside fitting did the trick. Thanks a bunch for the suggestion. I'll boil a full pot of H2O today to prep the aluminum and plan on a batch in the new pot...

I did not have any tubing on the outside when running the test. Basically, all I did was fill the pot with water and wash out the inside with some dishsoap and a sponge, then drain, rinse and refill....
