Definitely don't want to start out with rotten strawberries as I did. Throw them in ripe and frozen.

Um yeah this has gotten pretty stupid. Passive-aggression is strong with drathbone. Freezing doesn't sanitize fruit, I never said that it does. Gotta love skewing perception in order to get it to fit...

Chopping it into smaller pieces depends on what fruit you use. Most folks will chop them and throw them into a plastic bag. Or slightly mash them inside of the plastic sandwich bag, and freeze them...

^^^ +1. I've forgotten to rinse plenty of bottles. A soak in Oxyclean for a few hours, a darn good rinse in plain water, and a soak in sanitizer of your choice works great. Hardly any scrubbing...

Must be my problem. I froze fresh strawberries for about a week-and-a-half, then thawed, then racked on top of them. My beer has an almost weird-ish strawberry flavor, not exactly rotten, but close....

Yeah it was fairly warm. Is it forever rotted and ruined? I should of put it in the fridge. This is definitely my first failure. The taste of this stuff is hard to forget.
