I bet if I look back at my brews that is probably typical for me to cool it to the mid 70s or so and then pitch the yeast. My internal probe told me initially I was at 75 F for the first few hours...

I've tried varying the different base malts from 2-row to pilsner as well and get similar results.

Lagers I don't recall the flavor as much.
