I've made this it needs to sit in the fermenter longer and bottles taste green until the 4th week most beers need to ferment 2-3 weeks not the 7-10 days the kit says

Looking to make a 5 gallon extract lemon lime ale but I'm not sure how much zest to use or if I should use juice? I've head lemon zest if more powerfull that lime? any idead would be great.

Secondary or no?

I see lots of people sayign to stick to longer primary and not use a secondary. Wouldn't using a secondary just result in a cleaner beer when bottling? I don't normally use a secondary when kegging...

I always rinse mine out after use. then on bottling day 1st thing in the morning I run mine in the dishwasher wit no soap. then rinse out with starsan and bottle.

I have always used liquid yeast (brewing extract) and have never had a problem with fermentation. what is the benefit of using a starter?

At what temp does yeast start to die off? Bottled some beer for a friend and they left it all int here car all night and it got down to about 37 degrees.

I was wondering the same thing but wouldnt the citrus kill the yeast? I hate extract juices they tend to leave a imitation flavor.
