I have secured some Smirnoff Marshmellow Vodka in wich I will soak my vanilla beans (2) and add capella graham cracker extract and a tiny touch of cinamon.... The stout I made is Chocolaty enough !!...

White Labs WLP001 California .... made two batches dumping second batch on top of the first yeast cake..... came out great no off flavors from over pitching..... I may try WLP002 next time to keep...

Ahhhh rehydrating the yeast at that temp but not during fermentation....... look at the 3,000,000 post about lack of airlock activity does not = lack of fermentation........

Holy Moly.....

Well .... temps of 81 and higher will probably give you some crazy off flavors.... think bubble gum..... Think your only hope to save this is keep it at that 68 range and re-pitch another pack of...

Ok Headed to the LHBS today to redo the same recipe and rack it onto the yeast cake..... from what I hear a blow off tube will be needed because of the super active fermentation.
