The only thing I would add to this is the yeast aren't typically dead, they are just in hibernation. You can actually cultivate yeast from the bottom of a bottle condition beer.

Nothing to worry about at all. Fermentation doesn't stop because an airlock is clogged. Simply remove it, clean it, sanitize it and replace.

Leaving the beer on the yeast for 2 weeks or more ( I prefer 3 - 4 weeks) allows the yeast to clean up their byproducts and allow for a better finished product.
