Its really the cost of the wire that is the issue. 10-3 wire is about $100 for a 50' length and I'm probably going to need just a little more than that. Yeah, the cost of copper has really gone up....

Just get the 15.5 gallon keg, I've done 5 gallon batches in them (and have still had boil-overs) and 11 gallon batches. You can't have to big of a kettle, it jsut gives you more head room.
