Does 3-4lbs of raspberries take up a lot of space in the fermenter? I usually use a 5 gal carboy for secondary but wonder if I would need a 6.5 gal with the berries.

I just put my carboy in a big bucket of water and check the temp two or three times a day. Add either ice or warm water as needed.

I use the cheap 12v pump to move strike/sparge water from HLT to Mashtun and have a Chugger pump for everything else. I love the Chugger, but it seemed overkill to get 2 of them.

I would guess my pot is wider and shorter than a keg so surface area would be less of an issue. However I never have compared it side by side so this is really just BS from me. :confused:

For cleaning lines I fill a keg with PBW and use a bike pump to pressurize it and pump through the lines. Sometimes it's a lot of work if the lid isn't sealing well!
