Another vote for Whirlfloc. It's MUCH more effective than plain Irish moss. All my brews are crystal clear now.

High alkalinity water can be used for light beers as long as it does not taste too "salty". Just add 2 tsp lactic acid per 5 gal water. This adds no extra "salt" to the water and gets the pH down....

Visited the Home Brewery store a few weeks ago. It is about 10 miles from Branson if you are into that stuff.

It is a nice store with a very clean packaging area.
