I'm CERTAIN there won't be an issue with an o-ring in the bottom of a keg. The alcohol in your triple wont dissolve it. Not a chance, not gonna happen.

I also use the stc1000. Took about an hour to put it in a nice box with receptacles for heating and cooling. It works great in my ferm chamber no matter what the temps are around it.

That's all I've used it in. IIRC, it's a pretty low AA, like low 4's. don't know how it would work in an ipa, but who knows. Give it a shot and post results.

Magnum and willamette. Never tried them in the same brew and don't think it would work well if I did. Love the magnum for buttering. I made an all willamette ale that was a favorite among my friends.

The carbonation will also take some of the hop note out of it. It'll mellow out ad you'll have a great beer when it's ready.

I taste all of mine right after I keg. Just remember that after the keg cools and carbonates, the yeast will drop to the bottom whet the pickup tube is. You'll want to pull off a half a glass or so...

I hope you're using a keg that will be dedicated to root beer. In my experience, once you put root beer in a keg it's almost impossible to get that smell out.

Sorry I have no info on carbonating...

FWIW, mobiles and modulars are apples and oranges. Once a modular is on a foundation, it is listed the same as any home, at least in NC. ALso, once it's on foundation and finished, it cannot be moved...
