Fermenting lager at 6c (42.8f)?????

Hello I have turned my fridge up but best I can get is 6c' , am using Bavarian lager yeast 2206. Recommended 8-14 (46-58), if I make a started will this still work at this temp??

Yeast starter ?

Day I am making a 5lt yeast starter and will add 500gm of dme, do I take that out of my recipe or still add same as recipe says? Thanks

Thanks heaps for all the info would of stuffed it up for sure. One last question, how much dme would I add to a 5lt starter? And do I add yeast nutrient?

Pitching yeast for czech pilsner

Hi all, I am making a pilsner style beer and are going to ferment in fridge at 8-10c(46-50). I am using 2206 Bavarian yeast smack pack, can I pitch this a low temp or should I pitch a little higher...

Lagering in keg?

I about to keg my budvar lager I have been told to keep it at 0'c for 4 weeks. Can I force carbonate it at same time or should I wait till the 4 weeks are up?

Will probly start with a good extract kit first then see how I go. At te moment have just got a starter kit plastic carboy and 20lt pot making good beer but making a mess in kitchen.
