This is awesome advice. I found my tube fits loosely on my auto siphon, so that could be an issue. Just want to keep everything as zen as possible.
Time to go to the LHBS and get some new tubing....

Update in the weakest beer ever: tried one again after bottling for a week. It's not stronger but it tastes a bit more drinkable. Time seems to heal most things.

I didn't bother to backsweeten. Took a reading and got just above 1 on the hydrometer and decided since they ferment out a bit lower than 1 that I could just bottle it now and get a low carb on it....
