Agree with the folks above. I've been doing the 'drain to another container' thing for the past 3 brews. I can't wait to get another brew kettle. It works, but it is annoying :)

yes, I was very careful.. squirt bottle in one hand and other hand on the gas valve. 2 squirts and cutting gas back kept me from boiling over :)
