As long as the beer is not infected you should be fine. I tend to use boiled water (cooled) or distilled water for this purpose to mitigate infection.

Welcome and congrats on brewing your first batch. The one thing you will learn in here is never to judge fermentation by time or by the airlock. A beer is done fermenting when it decides it is done...
