I don't have an answer for you but took my first gravity on a Roeselare dark sour at the 12mo mark and it's down to 1013. I mashed around around 156-158F. I'm curious what others are seeing for FG...

I just dry hopped a Brett Saison with 2oz Amarillo before packaging. In your situation Galaxy sounds like a great idea. I'd go 2+oz especially if you're bottling.

I did 85% 2 Row, 15% Oats this weekend on a 60 ibu 1064 IPA. I also did 7oz of hops at various temps after cutting the gas.

I used Columbus to bitter and Citra at 20, 5, huge whirlpool, 2x dry hop all Citra. Was easily one of the best DIPAs I've brewed. I used 14-16oz of Citra in a 5.5gal batch.

Thanks for the response. I know the inside of the kettle will beaten up from scrubbing but I didn't think twice about the scotch brite pad before scrubbing the exterior of the kettle. Bar Keepers...

I recently used a green scotch brite pad on a new Blichmann Boilermaker kettle and noticed the pad left micro-scratches on the surface of the kettle. Is this normal?

I moved mine upstairs to warmer parts of the house for the same reason. Pitched same yeast the same time as you. Acidity was pretty tame on mine.

I can't get the ball valve on mine with the parts they provided. I gave up and emailed them. Seems like the locknut gets stuck on the threaded nipple and won't tighten down all the way.

I wouldn't worry about it being at 65F to finish...

I wouldn't worry about it being at 65F to finish out. Transfer to secondary after gravity is stable and then lager for 10-12wk.

I shook the carboy and left it at 53F. I'll check it again next week. If it doesn't look good I'll rack to secondary and pitch a little Zurich lager cake I have from a previous Baltic to finish it...
