that cold will not kill the yeast, it only slows them down.

You would need to add Campden tablets. i'm not a pro on this so hopefully someone else can chime in with a better answer.

if you are using fertilizer, try to keep it off the plant best you can. Some fertilizers will burn you plant so bad you can kill them. i lift the plant greens off the soil and sprinkle around them.

no need to poke holes, just sanitize and wrap. don't wrap it so tight that your trying to make a perfect seal. like posted above, you want the air to be able to get in and out as need be.

you can use 1 vial with a 2l starter to get 200bil and then do another 2l to hit 300bill or 3l to hit 350bill.

I'm cheap too so i'd rather do a step starter.

i do this when brewing 10gal batch...

Raking pine needles and leaves. Man it sucks to have 3/4 of lawn and massive old white pines dropping needles. It takes 2 solid day of raking as long as i don't drink too much.
