Ok, so basic starter making 101:
Reducing CO2
Lower alcohol content
Higher O2 concentration
Ideal sugar parameters

All of these cause HIGHER attenuation since u have HIGHR yeast count resulted.

Swirling is atcually not bad, you can swirl more the earlier in the ferment u are. Making motions before roaring ferment will make for a better overall attenuation.

Should i add dme to primary?

I have a RIS or an attempt at one going now, og 1.074 but thats a bit week for me. My question: would u recomend addding a pound of boild coold dme to fferment once it has slowed? 5 g batch.

Doubt youll need 10 days in primary. I made a very similar 6 days primary, 7 days in secondary....it was crutial after 3 weeks in bottles.

I tend to put a min of 2 oz in any imperial ipa i make, otherwise it seems more like a scotish ale. But this has such a heavy bitter you got to make sure its bitter!
