The batch turned out well. I did the saison variant. I did end up adding spices along with some vanilla extract, when I bottled. I should have used a tincture, but I needed to bottle that day. ...

I used grade B. Tasted both A and B side by side and I decided I liked the flavor of the grade B more. I've heard that the B grade will leave more flavor, too, but I've not done any actual...

Pumpkin Ale on Nitro. How much lactose?

My wife loves nitro beers, so I got a nitro setup for my birthday. Not bad at all.

I'm planning on brewing a pumpkin ale to put on nitro for Thanksgiving. I'm using a slightly modified version...

I'm interested in a 3-way split of a bag of rye malt. I've liked the beers I've used rye in, but it would take me quite a long time to go through 25 lb. Anyone else interested?

I'm in the Frederick/Erie area. I can pick up someone else's order (or 4 or 6 bags) in the area, if it helps.

I just added my order for 4 bags. I'm okay with regular pricing, but I'm fine with waiting a few weeks if that's what it takes to fill up a pallet.

Also, does the "Wheat" entry on the form imply...

I'm still planning on taking part in this, but things have been too busy over the last few days to get a count. I think I'll be in for 3 bags, but it might be 4. I'll get a count in the next day or...

Still in the works? I'll be needing to re-up soon. I definitely prefer CMC and would be in for 3 or 4 bags if this happens in the next month or two. If it's after that, I might still be interested...

I haven't checked my turbid mash beer, yet, but it's only about 9 months old. I'll give it at least another 3 before I sample it. Hopefully it's not even higher in gravity.

Given everyone's...

Highish FG gravity with ECY20

I have two pale sour beers which have been fermenting with ECY20 for 15 and 16 months. The oldest is a mix of pils and wheat extract with 8 oz. of maltodextrin. It started at 1.049. The younger...

If you remember to update this post in a few years, please do! I use better bottles, and they've been good up to 1.5 years for me. I've only gone longer than that in glass.

I've never done this, personally, but I don't see a problem. Much of the flavor from bourbon is already coming from the oak it was aged in. I really like the extra flavor and mouthfeel that...
