I've tried a few BIABs, and it's OK, but I'd just as soon use that extra hour and a half on something else. There are so many great Northern Brewer kits I have to get through that I know I'll be...

Don't know if the twang you're getting is really due to only boiling 4 gallons and adding extract late. Something else might be going on. 4 gallons is a pretty decent size for a partial boil, and...

I had some huge blowoff on my last one, so I gave it a taste. It was incredibly bitter. Couldn't get rid of the taste in my mouth for a couple of hours.

When I made the Northern Brewer No. 1 kit a few weeks ago I just dumped in the four bags of sugar(!) at flameout. I really don't think it matters too much, but I saw no sense in boiling the stuff. ...

Sounds perfectly reasonable. That will be a good yeast, too. The Coopers yeast is fine, but it gets a bit boring after awhile. I'm sure you'll be very happy with this--especially since it's really...

Yep.

I did just that, and boiled a handful of Glacier hops with this Cooper's Real Ale kit. Plus a couple lbs. of DME. It really turned out nice.

Wait it out.

There's no telling how it will taste in a few weeks, but I bet it wil be more palatable. Even if it stays intense, then you can just consider it a "sippng" beet and drink it out of a...
