I wrapped with reflectix, a layer of duct tape to push down wrinkles, then coated with mastic to cover tape seams. Then painted with latex enamel for the color I wanted.

I did not change the diameter of the pump head....

I did not change the diameter of the pump head. On the 3/4 inlet I threaded a stainless coupler on welded the tip then welded a tri clover on.

Beautiful. Thanks for the reply and info. I'm hoping to complete my herms soon. I know there will be some learning curve. I just don't want to have to make a big system change once I think I'm done.
