I think WhineAdvocate would be a more appropriate name for that place. I check there in every now and then, but the conversations always seem to revert to petty complaints and pointless bickering.

Is it worth it? As a new all-grain brewer, there is no question it is worth $22.

Can you live without it? Of course. Man has made beer for thousands of years without Beersmith.

The hydrometer reading post-boil was 1.052, taken at about 73F so if we add .0011 according to Palmer's How to use Hydrometer, it may have actually been 1.053. I believe our goal was 1.047 or so. ...
