Most of us wait till most of fermentation is done (7 days or so), then dry hop for 1 week. With that said, I usually dry hop on day 7-8 and leave in till I'm ready to keg which is about 4 wks.

My understanding is the first 3-4 days are critical. If you are cold right now and finish fermenting that temps in the low to mid 70's won't effect flavor as much as it does during the first 3 days....

I do it the same way we did spark plugs...snug but able to pull out. I had an issue with the grains not going through and went to the corded drill rather than my cordless and no issues.
