agree with most of the above................If a yeast cake isnt enough yeast...no amount of yeast will work. rouse that bad boy and raise the temp a tad and then wait for nature to take its course.

I would just go to wal-mart and buy the cheapest turkey fryer they have. You can always get one for around thirty bucks. This is what I have and it will bring it to a boil in no time.

Some times it takes a couple days to start seeing signs of fermenting. You dont need a carboy at all. Buckets work just fine.
