Sounds very interesting. I think $100 is pricy, but I'm a cheapskate. That said it would certainly go on my wishlist.

Stuff that you probably don't have answers to at this phase of the project...

Whirlpooling is less about velocity and more about time. Not the time you're actively stirring, the time you let it settle. I'd say 30min is a good starting point to wait after a few quick...

I looked that part up but I don't think that's what I want. I don't want to connect to the plastic QD, I want to put a hose into the bottom of the stainless beer post. Crappy picture attached. What...

Pin Lock to hose barb

My google-fu has failed me. I'm looking for a male thread to hose barb that would screw into the keg side of a pin-lock post so I can put a post on my keg washer pump and use that to recirculate PBW...

Dead relay on STC1000?

After about a year of light use I can no longer get my STC1000 to power anything during the heating cycle. Assuming I have a multimeter and assuming I'm an idiot when it comes to electrical stuff,...

I wouldn't make a beer out of it, but I'd make starters. I crash and decant my starters though to avoid flavor contributions.

Cut the compressor hump or build a collar?

I'm looking for opinions on if I should cut the compressor hump or build a collar for my mini-fridge (essentially which will be easier given the story I'm about to write).

I'd like to expand the...

Couple of posts in this thread really helped me with inspiration, so I figured I'd return the favor. That's a lovejoy (spider) coupling into a 90 drill adapter which puts the center of mass close...

If that is happening after a wort boil, it looks like beer stone (hydroxylapatite) which is a precipitate from calcium and phosphate. Could also be lime scale (hard water deposits, blame calcium...

I did some googling and came up empty, but is there a way to add an acid to Palmer's water spreadsheet? Specifically I want to add 2N H2SO4 as an option (~10% wt/wt).

Thanks!
