I did a test mash with distilled and Muntons MO and it was 5.70 at 67.6F. It was at least 5 minutes into the mash if not more, I can find out if you want. It seems like MO has a higher pH than most...

I like that idea and I'm going to try it the next time I brew. I'm already doing the racking and chilling afterwards so it doesn't hurt me at all to run the IC while attempting to get a swirl going...
