Quick question about control panels

How do you guys cut the square openings for PIDs? I was thinking drilling the corners and a jigsaw for the edges, but I am sure someone has a more precise method.

I ordered all of the hardware from G-P to assemble a single tier strut stand. When I went to my local welder to get the strut itself cut, he wanted to eld up a stand instead. Of course he did....
