Electrical issue

I am an electrical novice. I am building my control panel and am having an issue.

I have run the hot through a toggle switch, then through an LED light, to a household outlet to power my pump....

Quick question about control panels

How do you guys cut the square openings for PIDs? I was thinking drilling the corners and a jigsaw for the edges, but I am sure someone has a more precise method.
