I keep a keg of root beer on tap for the kids. I've never had a "thinning" problem like that. What extract did you use? And did the taste change or was it just color loss?

Someone need to open something on the westside. We got no homebrew love over here. Its a 45 minute drive to brewmasters whse, and thats the closest place to buy grain ingredients.

Have you tried to remove the thermostat circuit all together and wire through that part of the circuit? Should be as simple as unplugging 2 wires and tapping them together.
