Just bought ingredients to make this again. Hoping that it will turn out. last year it took a long amount of aging before I enjoyed it; I think that was my bad though, and not the recipe.

I'd suggest a 10-15 gallon kettle. I have an 8 or 9 (?) and wish I would have gone bigger. 10 gal batches are out of the question for me. Having more headspace for a boil over would be nice, too....
